I am heading to Seattle this weekend for my youngest Sydney's birthday. So I asked Raul to do his first couponing trip for me. These all end Saturday and I really need to start stocking up on some HABA items.
I am asking him to hit up 2 stores and do 2 transactions per store. I have everything written out in great detail and put coupons and transactions numbers on envelopes for him. (I want it to be super simple!)

Shopping and Albertsons this weekend.
So last Friday my goal was to stay under 100$ for 2 weeks worth of food. I went over the amount by 7.65$ (and this was coffee!!) I hit up 3 stores and got everything on my list. My stockpile is starting to look real nice.
Then on Sunday Albertsons offered up to 1.00$ on coupons. They were still having a great deal on a few items I could easily stock up on again. I ended up with 2 transactions.
#1
2 boxes Cereal
1 box Nature Thins
1 box Bisquick
1 box cereal bars
Before coupons/club card the total was around 20$ after everything I paid 1.95$ out of pocket.
#2
1 bag bugels
1 box fiber one bars
1 scotts toilet paper
Before coupons/club card the total was around 20$ after everything I paid 2.95$ out of pocket.
Pretty good deal!

Coupon's
I know a lot of you out there are always looking for a way to save money. Come on really whats a better way to save money then using coupons with your daily, weekly or even monthly shopping. You never have to go overboard like those women on TV. You can start out slow and simple, start making a stockpile of stuff you know you use and will need in the future.
I figured this blog will help those who want to coupon but might find it more work than it really is worth. BUT if you have 30 mins a week to spend with your coupons then you can save up to 10$, 20$ or even more when your shopping. Just think what you can use that extra savings for. How about clothes, a trip, a movie or just extra fun money.
1st: Places to get coupons
-Newspaper (your local and regional paper) I currently only get my local Statesman Journal. Its only 8.88$ a month for the Sunday and Wednesday edition. We have a regional one for 2.00$ an issue. If I find coupons that I know I want more of then I will usually buy another paper or 2. Just double check your papers to make sure your coupons are there.
-Coupon Clipping Sites, these are great when you want a few coupons out of an insert. Most places you can order up to 20 of the same coupon. Some places even do the whole insert if you find that you can use those coupons.
(My Favorite Coupon Sites to buy from, I have only bought off of this one. There are many out there and you just can do a google search.)
-CouponDede.Com
-Krazy Kims Coupons
-Print Coupons off the web. All you need is a printer no special software. They usually reset once a month and new coupons will show up. Sometimes they will even do new ones through out the month.
-Coupons.Com
Red Plum
Smart Source
You can even go to the stores websites that you shop and get coupons, Winco will let you print them off the same as Albertsons. Fred Meyer allows you to put in your rewards card info and put the coupons right on the card.
EBAY is another great place to get coupons, they do lots (usually about 100) per auction. You can even get bundles of 1 type of coupons or inserts. Usually no more then going and buying more papers.
2nd: Storage of Coupons
I have tried the little card holder, which didn't work for me. Way to many coupons and I could never find what I wanted when I wanted. You can use a recipie holder and tabs. (My grandparents did this back in the day!) Right now though a coupon binder is the most popular. I have a simple one I got from the store, added a storage pocket. I got cheap tabs and labeled them to what I knew I would use. Then I also got some plastic folders to hold my shopping list and coupons. I take the whole binder with me. I never have to hunt for the coupons I want or need.
3rd: Read the Ads!!
I can not stress this enough, this is the way to make more of your money and coupons. You will have to spend a little time reading store ads either online or from your local paper. You can match up sale prices with coupons, getting you and your family the better deal! Or check out these sites that will do match ups for the week. Then all you have to do is make sure you have the money and coupon.
-The Krazy Coupon Lady
-Stockpiling Moms
4th: Have Fun!!
There is no need to clear out shelves or even use coupons for stuff you or your family will never use. Just because its a good deal doesn't mean your saving money. Do your research before shopping, check into ads, sales ect. Yes its a little extra time on your part BUT remember you are walking away with more money in your pocket.

New Printer!!
So finally after talking for months about getting a new printer, we finally picked up one. I love it we got a special price at Walmart (29$.) Its a Cannon and does regular printing, copier and prints pictures. The refills for this seem a little cheaper then others we looked at.
My first thing to print off was coupons!! Whoohoo, I found some great deals on coupons.com and plan on using them this week when I do my shopping. I also joined Value Village's customer program and got a 25% off coupon. With this program I can get special deals when I shop. Let me tell you with 3 kids in school and growing this place is heaven for clothes. I also have found some great cookbooks, decorations for the house.
Link for the greatest printer! Walmart has it for 28$ but not in stock online.

30 Day Music Challege *Day #2*
Day #2 Music you dislike
I have to say I have a pretty good music taste but do dislike all kinds of music, I am not a fan of country, heavy metal, hard core rap. So for this challenge I chose heavy metal, now the song I picked was just at random. Just to give you an idea of the music I would rather not listen to.

Winco Coupon Trip!
I think for my very 1st coupon trip I did an awesome job!! I did save over 10$ with my coupons, and was able to get actual national brands over the store brands I always get. I figured that with my coupons it was still cheaper to get the national brand.
I walked out with this on my coupon trip.

Tomorrow I am going on my first trip using my coupons, I have not mastered it just yet and will be buying other things that do not have coupons. I am ready to save a little money and once I get better then I will only use coupons and shop with those.
I am hitting up Winco and Walgreen's, we do not get inserts this weekend because of the holiday but I can still check out ad's and use coupons I already have for next week if needed.
Walgreens Shopping List:
(I have coupons for everything I am buying)
-Tea Packets - .59$ each
-Glade Freshner Spray - 2/5$ (1.00 off coupon on 1)
-Mac and Cheese - .69$ each
-Can Oranges - 2/1.00$
-Q tips - 1.99$
-Carefree Liners - .99$ each
-Charmin - 2.99$
-Cherrio's - 1.99$ (1.00 off coupon on 2)
My total should be around 16$ with all my coupons. I am going to see my total savings once I get into the store since I don't know the actual prices.
I have around 10 coupons for Winco and will see how much I save. Of course I will take pictures and do a update tomorrow!!

Coupon Binder
These are pictures of my coupon binder, just a plain binder. I added a pouch on front to hold all my extra's I need. Then got dividers to seperate my coupons by catagories that I use. Then got the plastic baseball card holders to hold my coupons. I added paper to do my shopping list and the back pocket to hold my store ad's that I will use for the week.
I have been doing tons of research on coupon's, spent much time over at ebay, google and coupon sites to find some coupons. I also decided I needed a way to hold them since I have tried the coupon holder (SUCKS!!) I found out a binder would fit my purpose, I don't plan on being an over the top "extreme" couponer but someone who can save money. I don't clip coupon's that I will not use. We really don't need 300 tubes of toothpaste, I would like to start a mini stock pile of things we always run out of the normal everyday use stuff.
I also got a subscription to the local paper, I chose to do the Sunday edition only so I can get a start on my coupons. Then if for some reason I find a coupon that I want more then 1 item I can easily buy it off line at a coupon cutting place or even buy another paper. I am excited to find a coupon for hotdogs in the Sunday paper, since this weekend is Memorial day most BBQ items are on sale. We are not doing anything for this weekend but have camping coming up in the next few weeks. So of course I found 2 of those coupons and can get a great deal making them only .48$ cents per package!!

Wednesday...

Hey everybody!! I have a great weekend, Raul and I actually got a date night. We haven't had one since Feb, and it was much needed. We have a great dinner and drinks at Applebee's then went bowling. Coming home to enjoy the evening and sleep in with no kids bugging us! So then on Sunday I went and started my arm tattoo, man 3.5 hours later my body was done. I still have to color my flowers, touch up my stars, color my skull and put in my vine work. I am looking for some vine work that is more delicate/girly then just the normal black lines/loops.
I also have been doing a lot of research time on putting together a Coupon Binder. I am so addicted to the show Extreme Couponing on TLC that I want that high and use coupons. I am by no way going to go overboard like some of those ladies. I would just like to see a nice savings when I go shopping. I started my coupon stash, plan on hitting up a few papers this weekend to get more coupons. I think a binder would help me keep track of it all, with all the research I learned they are nicer for when your in the store. Keeps everything all in one area, I can also add bigger pockets for store ads, ect. Now I have to work on getting my printer working so I can print out coupons and get extra savings!

Tattoo...

I have been talking with our friend over my arm sleeve. This past weekend we started with the outline of the skull on my upper arm. I wanted to start with that 1 because it was getting late and 2 because I wanted to see the placement before going all the way with the outline. Once I got that on my arm I am ready to start figuring out what else to put on my arm!
I already have a star/vine thing on my forearm, I want to somehow mix all the tattoo's to create one big arm sleeve. I found a skull that is totally girly in a magazine about a year ago, so I want to add a flower to the top/side/bottom of the skull to take up most of my upper arm. Then hope the flower from the bottom of the skull with cover the middle section near my elbow and the top of my current star/ivy tattoo. So that leaves a patch on the bottom of my arm (forearm) and a section near the star/ivy tattoo. I want to start and finish the complete outline next weekend. So I can let it heal before doing the full on color in June.
I am posting a few pictures of what I like, there is a blossom tree with butterflies that I love but not sure that would mix with my sleeve. Maybe save that for my foot/ankle.

My Garden!!
Since I did such a great job last year I wanted to try this whole garden in a container again. It works pretty well and works wonders for those who do not have a yard!
I have the following planted.
-Radishes
-Lettuce
-Peppers
-Cucumbers
Then just my regular flowers, I did plant Sunflowers and a mix from seeds. I also planted a mix for my mom and then some tulips. I am actually going to move the tulips to the wood box from Sydney and move her flower to one of my smaller planters.

Hello Again!!
I haven't been on here in ages! So much has gone on since my last post. I am now working only about 15 hours a week but I do get a free gym membership and a little spending money. Spring is somewhat here and I am working on my garden. Actually planted some veggis and flowers.
NKOTBSB is coming up soon! A fellow friend and NK fan and I are hitting up 3 concerts this July. Can hardly wait!! I got a new washer and dryer for Mother's day, plus a new phone. I had a little accident with my old phone and wanted a new one. I was going to hold out for a few months but of course my wonderful husband had to get me one.
I am also in the process of starting my arm sleeve tattoo. I got my first piece this weekend, no color yet I wanted to get that part started so I know where to work off it to make it run insync with my other star/ivy on my arm. Next weekend I plan on going back and getting all the outline done, the skull, flowers, lines/ivy leaves. Then in June I will get my full color done and have it already for show in July!
